NE London Save Our NHS: No to cuts: No to privatisation: No to the STP.
Lobby of Inner North East London Health Scrutiny Committee: Tuesday 13th December 5:45 pm.
Tower Hamlets Town Hall,
The Tories want to destroy our NHS and bring in a US style system. The latest scheme is the Sustainability and Transformation Plan, STP (Slash Trash and Privatise/Secret Tory Plan!). England has been divided into 44 STP footprints, between them they must "save" £22 billion across the NHS by 2020. The NE London STP covers Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, City of London, Barking, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest. The population is set to grow by numbers equivalent to the City of Leicester, yet health bosses are tasked with "saving" approximately £850 million from a local health service which is on it's knees. To add to this toxic mix social care has seen up to 25% cuts since 2010 and the closure of King Georges AE in Romford, with 200+ acute beds, is still set to go ahead.
It is time to say enough is enough!
NE London STP boroughs are campaigning together to stop this.
Lobby your local councillors.
Demand that they oppose the cuts in the STP.
No to the closure of King Georges AE.
